The athletics program is designed to develop a young person’s mind and body while nurturing character and teaching responsibility through participation in a variety of team sports. All interested athletes are welcome.

The School of St. Elizabeth after school Athletic Program is an integral part of the School of St. Elizabeth mission. Our program offers sports that are age appropriate and challenging which integrates competition with the personal and spiritual growth of the child. All students in Grades 3 – 8 are invited to participate in the sports offered after school.  Our school parents are volunteer coaches in the program. Students in each grade are challenged and motivated by their volunteer coaches to achieve their personal best while learning the responsibilities of being part of a team.   Our coaches focus on the development of the whole child including personal characteristics of responsibility, leadership, teamwork, goal setting, cooperation, fitness and emotional maturity.

Coed Cross Country – Our 50 + Cross Country team members learn and develop running skills through being part of a supportive team. Students have fun with their friends and are challenged and motivated by their coaches and teammates to achieve their personal best.  Students also learn about their race times and how to improve their times for different running distances.

The distances run are: Grades 3 & 4; .75 – 1mile; Grades 5 & 6 1.2 – 1.6 miles; Grades 7&8 1.6 – 2.6 miles.

We compete in 4 – 5 Catholic School Cross Country Invitational Meets and practice 3 x per week. Also,   our team members are encouraged to practice on their own

Cross Country is very popular with our students.

Coed Volleyball – Students in Grades 5 -8 are invited to be part of our Coed Volleyball Team.  Our students learn volleyball skills and team play on the court. Coaches focus on the improvement of each team player by the encouragement and support of all players on the team. After graduation many of our students play Volleyball in High School.

Our volleyball team competes with local Catholic Schools in a 6 – 8 game schedule and ends with a League Tournament.
