HOME SCHOOL ASSOCIATION VOLUNTEER HOURS

A $330 HSA fee is due at the start of the school year for each family with children in kindergarten to eighth grade (the Pre-K fee is $180). This fee is refundable, upon request, provided the HSA volunteer requirement is met (a minimum of 20 hours for grades K-8 and 10 hours for Pre-K).  Lunch duty, helping with fundraising events, coaching and volunteering in the classroom are just some of the ways to meet this HSA requirement. Hours are tracked by activity and are to be entered by you in the HSA Volunteer Log book kept in the main office. All volunteer hours must be entered by June 21, 2015.  To help the HSA meet its fundraising mandate each year, we ask that you please consider donating all or part of your HSA refund.
 
Throughout the school year there are a number of special events and activities where volunteers are needed!!  Volunteering is an excellent way to help support your children’s school as well as being fun and providing the opportunity to get to know other parents in the school.  This year we are using VolunteerSpot, a leading on-line signup and reminder tool, to organize the volunteer opportunities.  This site allows you to select the events you want to volunteer at and will send out automatic reminder emails. We recognize the challenges of busy lives – family, work, and personal commitments – and we kindly ask you to volunteer for whatever you can.
