Student Support
Guidance Program
St. E's school Guidance Counselor, Ms. Chelsie Cerdeira, is here to support the 'whole child', socially and academically, while partnering closely with faculty, staff, and families. She works collaboratively with teachers and administrators to help create a positive, supportive school environment where students feel safe, respected, and encouraged to grow. Counseling services may include classroom “push-in” support through Character Education lessons. She collaborates with teachers, facilitates small group work, and provides individual one-on-one sessions with students to address concerns such as friendship skills, emotional regulation, conflict resolution, coping strategies, self-esteem, and school-related stressors. She also helps students strengthen important life skills, including communication, problem-solving, organization, and decision-making.
In addition to direct student support, Ms. Cerdeira provides Character Education lessons once a month in the classrooms that focus on kindness, empathy, personal space, emotional awareness, self-control, mindfulness, and positive peer interactions.
Office hours and student check-ins are available to provide ongoing support and a safe space for students to talk through challenges or concerns.
