Clubs
The purpose of our clubs is to provide the students with additional opportunities to explore individual interest and further glorify Christ by bringing His light to our St. Elizabeth's community and beyond. Clubs meet either weekly during recess or after school, depending type of club offered.
Art Club Grades 5-8: It is our hope to fill the world with creative works of our hands that reflect beauty, peace and our Catholic values. The students work on individual art projects as well as create banners and posters for school events. The Art Club also is responsible for making props and designing sets for our Spring Musical.
Garden Club Grades 5-8: Our goal is to better understand our roles as stewards of the Earth and be grateful that God has entrusted us with such an amazing responsibility. The students participate in designing, planting, weeding and maintaining our vegetable, pumpkin and butterfly gardens. The Garden Club is also responsible for maintaining the "Living Wall" located in our Media Center.
Rosary Club Grades 5-8: The mission of the Rosary Club is to share Christ's love through the devotion of Our Blessed Mother Mary. The students pray together for the well being of our staff, faculty, and students as well as current global, national and/or local events that are in need of prayers. Students also participate in simple acts of kindness, like delivering "Prayers & Pumpkins" to the faculty.
Drama Club Grades 5-8: Drama Club provides a creative space for students to explore theater through acting, musical performances, and technical production. This is a great opportunity for students to develop their teamwork, creativity, and public speaking skills. The students perform in a musical each spring. Past musicals include: Seussical Jr., Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Jr., Willy Wonka Jr. and Raise Your Voice: A Broadway Musical Review.
Robotics Grades 5-7: The robotics program gives students the opportunity to design, build, code, and compete with their own robots. Through hands-on projects, participants sharpen problem-solving abilities, strengthen STEM skills, foster creativity, and learn the value of teamwork and persistence. Robotics not only builds technical knowledge but also cultivates confidence and critical thinking—skills that will serve students well in school and beyond.
Chess Club Grades 3-8: Chess club is open to both new players who want to learn the game and experienced students who want to improve strategies and challenge their skills. Chess improves critical thinking and problem solving, teachers sportsmanship, enhances focus & concentration, inspires creativity, and is a FUN activity that helps encourage tech-free gaming.
Chorus Grades 2-4: Chorus rehearses during recess on Wednesdays and Fridays and sings at the annual Christmas and Spring Concerts. There is no audition, but students are required to attend all rehearsals and concerts.
Children's Choir Grades 2-High School: Our Children's Choir rehearses Thursdays, 3:00-4:00, in the church and sings on Sundays for OLPH 9:00 am Mass
Chorus Grades 5-8: Rehearses during recess on Wednesdays and Fridays and sings at the annual Christmas and Spring Concerts and the National Anthem at Somerset Patriots in September. There is no audition, but students are required to attend all rehearsals and concerts.
Liturgical Choir Grades 5-8: Rehearses Fridays, 3:00-4:00, in the music room and sings for in-school and some OLPH Masses. Everyone in Liturgical Choir also sings in the grade 5-8 Chorus. The liturgical choir participates in the Pueri Cantores New York Festival and Mass
Handbell Choir Grades 5-8: Rehearses during recess on Tuesdays and Thursdays and plays at the annual Christmas and Spring Concerts. The Handbell Choir also participates in occasional school and parish Masses.
