Sign up for planning committees You may choose to chair or participate on planning committees in advance by marking your volunteer menu (sent home at the beginning of the year) or coming to a meeting. Flyers announcing meetings will be in the Wednesday family envelope, as a particular event gets closer. Committees include decorations, banking, bartending, journal program, blackjack dealers, registration and ticket sales, silent auctions, entertainment & rentals, gift prize coordination, and clean up. Join the STEPS Team (Saint Elizabeth’s Parent Solicitation) Started last year, this is a working “party” to request local businesses to donate gifts, services, of advertisements to our fundraisers. Donate a gift or service to the basket or prize auction We will find a place for any contribution. Show your creativity by showing your time and talents. Our generous families never cease to amaze us! Help your teacher and classroom mom with their auction project Each class prepares a memorable creation with the help of the teacher, classroom mom and other volunteers. Past items have produced amazing results, including quilts, paintings and bookcases. Consider pitching in and get your creative juices flowing. Smart Dollars Simply purchase Shop Rite, Kings, or Burger King “gift certificates” from the school for the face value of the certificate and these stores will give us 5% of the purchase amount. Smart Dollars help fund our technology program. In years past, Smart Dollars has helped provide Internet access, TV monitors, educational software programs, and CD-ROMs for the classroom PCs. Look for the Smart Dollars Team at pick-up time on car line. Box Tops for Education & Campbell’s Soup Clip the 10-cent box tops from many of your favorite General Mills or Campbell’s grocery items and deposit in the labeled boxes in the stairwell across from the school office.
